The Great Conquest The Birth Of An Empire

Back To Index

In the books of history, few periods are as epic as the Great Conquest, a time when the small town of Remia rose to become a mighty city and expanded its reach to encompass the largest empire ever forged by mankind. It was a time of legendary heroes, of epic battles and grand victories, and of tales and stories that would be passed down for generations.

Through the might of its armies, the Remian Empire not only conquered vast territories, but also spread its culture, language, and religion to the farthest reaches of the continent. For nearly a century, from 416 to 319-BT, the empire grew and flourished, and it seemed that no obstacle could stand in its way.

But as is often the case with great empires, the Remian juggernaut eventually ran up against a formidable challenge. War-hardened barbarians and the fearsome Burned proved to be fierce opponents, and the empire's expansion was slowed to a crawl. With most of the continent under their control, there was little land left to conquer, and the empire's maritime capabilities were limited by the primitive technology of the time, which made oceanic travel a daunting and perilous proposition.

And so, the Great Conquest came to a close, but the legacy of this epic period in history would live on for centuries to come.
