The Peace Treaty The Beginning Of A New Era

From a position of weakness, the once mighty Empire of Remia and the northern alliance finally put an end to the bloodshed by signing a peace treaty with the elven protectorate. Bound by oath, they swore never to attempt to invade or settle any islands, elven or otherwise. In addition, the Kingdom of Donwach was granted independence as a neutral realm, but under the condition that the elves would completely withdraw from the continent. Despite the great upheaval and dislocation, the elven people could at last live in peace on their islands.

With a weakened Remia, the northern realms began to flourish and the newly independent Kingdom of Donwach, although neutral, became a key player in the economic trade with the elves. The power dynamic shifted, with Skjalva and the other northern realms emerging as strong contenders while Remia continued to falter. A new era had dawned, and with it came the promise of great change and upheaval.
