The War Of The Dragons The War Of Succession Of House Tiorecastru
Back To IndexIn the land of Remia, the house of Tiorecastru held the throne. Two brothers, Vindecto and Lunio, each sought the crown, igniting the War of the Dragons that would change the course of their realm's history.
Upon inheriting the throne from his father, Emperor Vindecto ruled with an iron fist. He implemented merciless punishments for even the slightest offenses, making heresy and petty crimes capital offenses. His reign was despised by many, but he had a devoted following of loyalists who would do anything to keep him in power. The lower classes hailed him as a hero, for he brought order to the city, reducing the rampant crime and rooting out non-believers.
Meanwhile, Lunio garnered support from the middle class and nobility, who yearned for a more compassionate ruler. With their aid, he launched a successful rebellion, toppling Vindecto from his throne and driving him from the city. Although Vindecto still had many followers, he fled to a nearby village called Lindana, where he began amassing his forces by recruiting simple farmers.
In the end, the War of the Dragons seemed to have been all for naught. After all the bloodshed and loss, Vindecto died childless, leaving the throne to Lunio's oldest son. The very bloodline that had sparked the conflict had ultimately triumphed. Those who had fought and died for Vindecto's cause were left to wonder if it had all been in vain. Nonetheless, the realm of Remia would never be the same, for the War of the Dragons had forever changed the course of its history, leaving a lasting legacy of sorrow, loss, and perhaps, hope for a better future.
