The bank was originally founded in the empire of Remia. When the empire started it's collapse the bank was huge and took up multiple buildings and had an addition to the main building was torn down at some point. Now while the kingdom is not nearly as powerful or rich as the empire was at it's peak, Remia is still the center of power in the world of Goia and the center of it's financial power is this very bank.
