The Day Of Justice The Dragon's Attack That Changed Everything
Back To IndexThe pages of time are filled with tales of mystical events, and one of the most fabled is the Day of Justice, said to have occurred some 800 years before the treaty (BT).
According to legend, a magical dragon descended upon the Kingdom of Alvito, unleashing a breath that did not kill, but changed those it touched in a most horrific way. Their skin became burned, and their primitive instincts were reawakened, turning them into savage beasts driven by a single urge: to devour the flesh of their fellow humans.
Among the religious myths of the Remian people, it was said that this calamity was a punishment wrought by the god of justice, visited upon the people of Alvito for their failure to honor the full pantheon of deities. Alvito had only acknowledged the gods of good and evil, rejecting the godfather Odus and his divine kin as heathen and unworthy of worship.
The Burned, as they came to be known, were driven from the surrounding lands and forced to seek refuge in the far away lands of the north, where they banded together and formed their own society. Over time, their intellect grew and their skills sharpened, making them a force to be reckoned with. For centuries, they clashed with the Remian Empire, their tenacity and ferocity causing no small amount of trouble for human kind. And so, the memory of the Day of Justice lingered on, a reminder of the harsh consequences of disrespecting the divine powers that govern the world.
